New Delhi, Nov. 18 -- Indian stock markets gained on Monday tracking other Asian markets. At 9.38 am, BSE Sensex gained 27.33 points or 0.07% at 40384.60. The Nifty 50 index gained 3.45 points or 0.03% at 11,898.90.

Asian markets were trading higher as Chinese state media said US and China had "constructive talks" on trade in a high-level phone call that included Vice Premier Liu He, US trade representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.

Japan's Nikkei 225 Index gained 0.41%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index 1.20%, Taiwan Taiex Index gained 0.39%, China's Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.58%.

Back home, barring BSE Utilities which lost 0.09%, all sectoral indices were trading in the green. BSE Telecom was the bigg...
