New Delhi, Feb. 29 -- TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan who was arrested by the West Bengal police on Thursday morning in connection with allegations of 'sexual assault and land grab in the Sandeshkhali area has been sent to a 10-day police custody by Basirhat Court.

Lawyer Raja Bhowmick says, "14-day Police custody (of Sheikh Shahjahan) was demanded but the court allowed 10-day custody..."

Sheikh Shahjahan was arrested by West Bengal police on Thursday morning in connection with allegations of 'sexual assault and land grab,' officials said.
