New Delhi, Dec. 5 -- India recorded the highest estimated number of cervical cancer deaths in 2018, a research paper published in the Lancet Global Health has revealed.

The report titled - Estimates of incidence and mortality of cervical cancer in 2018: a worldwide analysis - also stated that India and China together contributed more than a third of the global cervical burden in 2018, with India contributing 97000 cases and 60000 deaths and China recording over 106000 cases and 48000 deaths.
