New Delhi, Dec. 13 -- The union government Friday effected another round of top bureaucratic reshuffle bringing new faces to head departments like rural development, information broadcasting, cabinet coordination, and higher education.

This is the second major reshuffle after Prime Minister Narendra Modi came back to power in May. In July it had changed the secretaries of 12 government departments including those of finance and disinvestment. The reshuffle holds importance as it comes less than two months ahead of the union budget and related to some departments where budget allocations are much higher.
