Cabinet approves plan to send skilled manpower from 14 sectors to Japan
New Delhi, Jan. 6 -- The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a memorandum of cooperation with Japan which will see India sending skilled manpower from 14 specialised sectors, including industrial machinery manufacturing, automobile maintenance and shipping, to the east Asian country.
The move will set "an institutional mechanism for partnership and cooperation between India and Japan on sending and accepting skilled Indian workers, who have qualified the required skill, and Japanese language test, to work in fourteen specified sectors in Japan," an official statement said.
