
NEW DELHI, May 30 -- A planned protest by Delhi municipal labour unions was called off on Thursday after a positive meeting with the Labour department. Chaired by Additional Commissioner Yadav, the discussion addressed key demands, including cashless cards for sanitation workers, regularisation of contractual staff (1998-2006), timely retirement dues, and fresh recruitment. Assured of action, unions
withdrew their protest.
