Shillong, June 21 -- As the nation observed Fifth International Yoga Day on Friday, there were no attempts to break the records of 2017 where 35 asanas listed in the Common Yoga Protocol performed on the day at Rajpath, which managed to bag two Guinness World Records. The first was for the largest yoga class with 35,985 people, and the second being the record for most nationalities numbering 84 participating in a single yoga event. Also, record was created in 2016, where tens of thousands across 193 countries, besides millions in India, performed Yoga on June 21 to mark the Day as declared by United Nations in 2015, on a proposal by Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Damodardas Modi.
