Shillong, June 14 -- In the most unfortunate turn of events, over 35,000 Junior Doctors at Kolkata's Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College (NSRMC) have been agitating since June 11, 2019 after their two colleagues were allegedly attacked by the family of a 75-year-old patient who died during treatment on the night of June 10. While an angry West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, after two days, gave the agitating doctors a four-hour ultimatum to withdraw their strike and warned of "strong action" if the situation was not normalised within the deadline, the doctors do not seem to take a step back.
