SHILLONG, June 18 -- With the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) putting a stop to the services rendered by Hyderabad based Swiggy on Monday, the employees of this food delivery services have demanded that the Council reverses its decision and permits them to work.A delegation of the Swiggy employees on Tuesday also submitted a letter to the Council's executive member in-charge Trade Paul Lyngdoh requesting his intervention in the matter.

This came a day after the enforcement wing of the KHADC has closed down the office of the Swiggy at Dhankheti for operating without obtaining any trading license from the Council.
