SHILLONG, June 23 -- In a review meeting held on Tuesday in Shillong, the state government has decided not to allow hawkers and street vendors to resume their livelihood activities besides re-opening of driving schools in Meghalaya.The state Health Minister, A. L. Hek told reporters that the issues were discussed during the meeting which was chaired by Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong. "We have decided not to allow hawkers and street vendors to re-start their activities (due to the prevailing situation arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic in the state)," said Hek.
