SHILLONG, April 22 -- The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday dismissed a writ petition on the delay in resolving the boundary dispute between Meghalaya and Assam.The petition was filed by the general secretary of the Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM), THS Bonney, requesting the Supreme Court to direct the Centre to intervene into the matter.

"Having heard counsel for the petitioner and upon pursuing the relevant material, we are not inclined to entertain the present petition. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed," a bench headed by the chief justice Ranjan Gogoi said in its order passed on Monday.
