SHILLONG, June 10 -- The state government has ruled out any possibility of re-imposing a total lockdown in the state, which has witnessed rapid increase in the COVID-19 cases.On being asked specifically on this issue during a press briefing held on Wednesday, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong told reporters that the state government has not taken any decision to impose a total lockdown in the state.

Tynsong however maintained that lockdown will continue in the state. "We have decided that lockdown in Meghalaya will continue but with further relaxations," he said.

The total number of active cases has risen to 30 after people stranded in the different parts of the country including red zone states have returned to the state recently....
