NGO questions govt's decision to open inter-state routes after lockdown
TURA, April 7 -- Achik Youth Council (AYC) has questioned the move of the state government to open the doors of Meghalaya, after the completion of the current lockdown on Apr 14, saying the move was like a highway route for inviting infections from the current pandemic, COVID - 19 (Corona Virus)."We are shocked to learn that the state is not taking the issue seriously and putting lives in danger. COVID - 19 is an impending disaster and war against the human race, with cases rising on a daily basis. The government should not be thinking of revenue at this point of time," said the General Secretary of AYC, Maxbirth Momin.
The NGO contended that the state was not prepared till today to handle cases with there being no testing centre in Garo...
