SHILLONG, April 17 -- The staff of the Shillong Civil Hospital emergency department is alleged to have neglected the plight of a patient brought to the emergency department by asking for the Out Patient Department or OPD slip first before attending to her wounds.It was informed that a thirteen year old girl received cut on her leg and was bleeding profusely when she was attending the Kalash Yatra at Mahadev Khola on Wednesday. She was immediately rushed to the Shillong Civil Hospital by a social worker, Bhola Nath Mishra.
