SHILLONG, Dec. 5 -- The state government will soon request the Centre to consider the proposals for the implementation of the four important water supply schemes in the state.

Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, PHE Minister, Samlin Malngiang informed that proposals in this regard have already been submitted to the Centre."I will be visiting Delhi very soon to conduct a follow up on the status of our proposals," he said.

Malngiang said that the government has requested the Ministry of DoNER to provide financial assistance of Rs 48 crore for the Greater Sohiong Water Supply Scheme and Rs 60 crore for the Baghmara Water Supply Scheme under the North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme (NESIDS).
