SHILLONG, June 24 -- The state government has decided to strengthen the entry-exit points to restrict the entry of people from other states in order to prevent further spread of COVID-19 in the state."We have asked the Chief Secretary to take necessary steps to strengthen these entry-exit points to ensure unnecessary visits by people from other states is totally stop," Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong told reporters after chairing a review meeting on Wednesday.

The entry-exit points are located at Bajengdoba in North Garo Hills, Byrnihat in Ri Bhoi and Ratacherra in East Jaintia Hills.

Tynsong said despite the government's decision not to allow inter-state movement till further orders, yet the coming of people from other states is...
