SHILLONG, June 17 -- During a review meeting held on Wednesday, the state government has decided to permit restaurants, beauty parlors and salons to re-open from June 22, in Meghalaya."We have decided to allow re-opening of restaurants, beauty parlors, salons and barbershops in the entire state from June 22," the state Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong told reporters after the meeting.

"However, restaurants located along the national highways will continue to remain closed until further orders," said Tynsong and further informed that the Health Department is still working out the SOP (standard operating procedures) for reopening these shops. "We will issue the SOPs within a few days time," he said.
