SHILLONG, June 24 -- For the financial year 2020-21, the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) has tabled a deficit budget of Rs. 50,910."There is a deficit in the budget estimate since the proposed expenditure at Rs. 243, 72,89,930 is higher than the Council's revenue receipts, which is at Rs 243, 72,39,020," said the Deputy Chief Executive Member (Dy.CEM), Gigur Myrthong said while presenting the budget during the summer session which commenced in Shillong on Wednesday and assured the house that the Executive Committee (EC) will try its best to find out ways and means to improve the revenue collection of the Council.
