TURA, May 24 -- Many sections of Garo Hills remained disconnected from other parts after incessant rains led to many sections of roads being washed away.Rains have continued for the fourth day since the super cyclone Amphan made landfall a few days ago. While the rains relented over the first 2 days, since the evening of the May 23, there has been no let up, with there being a copious increase in the amounts of water.

The damage to many parts of the Garo Hills region began this morning with continued rains leading to farmlands being submerged in quite a few sections of the plain belt of West Garo Hills and in North Garo Hills district.
