SHILLONG, June 23 -- Cabinet minister of the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government in the state, A. L. Hek on Tuesday said that he is ready to seek the centre's intervention for initiating peace talks with the banned Khasi rebel outfit, Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC)."If the HNLC wants my help, I will be the first one to take up the issue with the Government of India and the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah," Hek told reporters while reacting to a statement issued by the outfit on Monday. "I will personally take up the matter as we are ready to help them. We want peace to prevail in the state," A. L. Hek also assured.
