Five COVID-19 patients recover; Meghalaya's active cases came down to 25
SHILLONG, June 11 -- Five coronavirus patients have been declared recovered on Thursday bringing down the total number of active cases to 25 in the state.Announcing this, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said, "We now have a total of 25 active cases in the state after five patients were declared recovered."
He said the five patients were found to be negative twice after re-tests were conducted as per the World Health Organization (WHO)'s norms and protocols of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
"They have also been discharged today although they will still have to follow the standard protocols," Tynsong told reporters.
