SHILLONG, June 30 -- Braving the odds brought in by the COVID-19 pandemic, the farming community of Meghalaya is slowly getting back on track with market linkages opening up partially and economic activity resuming."We had a lot of trouble when the lockdown happen but we are thankful to the government who helped us in various ways through the troubled times," said Secretary of the Hill Farmers Union from West Garo Hills District, L K Sangma.

In a series of relaxation, the State government had opened up markets in identified locations for people to sell their produce.
