Shillong, Dec. 22 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) 2.0 Government headed by Narendra D. Modi expects that the tension across the nation will subside in view of Christmas and New Year season. In BJP ruled Uttar Pradesh, the situation is in the reverse, where the death toll over the violent protests against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has reportedly gone up to 16, though official sources only claim that 9 deaths have taken place after three days of intensive violence in 19 districts in the state.
