CAA fallout: CoMSO rally demanding ILP turns violent, several injured
SHILLONG, Dec. 13 -- Situation turned volatile in Shillong as thousands marched towards Raj Bhawan on Friday afternoon to demand the implementation of Inner Line Permit (ILP) and also asking the Governor to give his assent to the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019 (MRSSO).The peaceful march which started from Motphran saw huge participation from people of various localities and as the protestors marched, people joined in demanding for ILP and opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
