SHILLONG, June 24 -- Reacting to a news item published in a local newspaper, the Meghalaya Human Rights Commission (MHRC) has directed the Chief Secretary of the state to set up an enquiry into the alleged lack of government support to the community quarantine centers.In a statement issued by MHRC on Wednesday informed that while reacting to a news item published in The Shillong Times dated June 14, 2020 under the caption 'Dorbars rue lack of Government support', the commission headed by its Chairperson, Justice T Vaiphei, has taken suo motu cognizance of the matter.
