The Triangle International Balafon Festival has officially kicked off its 9th edition. The launch ceremony was held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Lamissa BENGALY Hall in Sikasso. This major cultural event will take place from October 9 to 11, 2025, in the "Green City of Kènèdougou." This year, it explores the theme: " The Balafon, a symbol of social transformation in a new sovereign space ."
The ceremony brought together various personalities. Mr. Salia MALE , representing the Minister of Crafts, Culture, Hotel Industry and Tourism, presided over it . It was also attended by political, administrative and customary authorities from the Sikasso region.
