Mali, Sept. 7 -- The Union of Road Workers of Senegal ( URS ) has announced news that will bring relief to the sub-regional transport community: the release of six Senegalese road workers kidnapped in Mali on September 5. The group, consisting of two drivers and four apprentices , was intercepted while heading towards Bamako.

According to URS Secretary General Gora Khouma , their release was made possible thanks to cooperation between different stakeholders, illustrating the strength of regional solidarity in the face of the threat from armed groups.
