KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 12 -- The girlfriend of a father whose two children died after their car slidinto Sungai Linggi estuary in Tanjung Agas, Port Dickson last week has been released on bail.
Only the father, Abdul Rahman Mahmud, whose six- and eight-year-old children drowned in the incident, was charged at the Seremban Sessions Court today.
Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the 41-year-old woman will act as a prosecution witness in the case against him.
"The investigation is complete and has been referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for prosecution. The police have received instructions to charge the father under Section 304(a) of the Penal Code," he said, according to Harian Metro.
