SINGAPORE, Sept. 13 -- Three people were injured after part of a ceiling collapsed at Liat Towers on Singapore's Orchard Road yesterday afternoon, CNA reported.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted at about 4pm.
Two of the injured were taken to Singapore General Hospital and one to KK Women's and Children's Hospital.
The Singapore-based media organisation reported that a false ceiling beneath the outdoor steps, outside the acai bowl shop Swirl Lover, had fallen.
Based on widely shared images on social media, the area near a Starbucks outlet at street level was cordoned off, with police officers at the scene.
The Building and Construction Authority said the incident did not affect the building's structural integrity....
