KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 15 -- A 14-year-old male student was remanded for seven days by the Magistrates'Court in Petaling Jayatodayto assist in the investigation of a case involving the stabbing of a 16-year-old female student at a secondary school in Bandar Utama.
National daily Sinar Harian reported that Magistrate Shahril Anuar Ahmad Mustapha issued the order after granting a request from the police.
The suspect, who is also a Form One (Transition Class) student, is remanded until next Tuesday and is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
During the proceedings, the suspect, dressed in an orange shirt, was represented by lawyer Anuar Ezzad.
