TAWAU, Nov. 6 -- Police have arrested two men in separate rape cases involving teenage victims here on Wednesday.

District police chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the first case involved a 15-year-old girl who was found to be six months pregnant after a medical check-up at a clinic in Taman Sawit.

Her foster sister lodged a police report after learning that the girl had been taken to a house in Taman Sri Balung by her boyfriend, who allegedly raped her.

Police later arrested a 19-year-old suspect in Bandar Sri Indah following an operation by the district's Criminal Investigation Department, while in another case, a 23-year-old man was detained at Tawau Airport for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl.
