TAWAU, Oct. 9 -- The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) is channelling RM62.76 million for the implementation of 18 public infrastructure projects for the benefit of over 200,000 residents in Tawau.
Its minister, Nga Kor Ming, said the urban wellbeing-based projects are being implemented throughout the year under the supervision of agencies under the KPKT.
"One of the projects is the RM43 million sanitary landfill centre in Bukit Gemok. This is important to ensure Tawau remains clean, vibrant, green and progressive as Sabah's key tourism destination," he told reporters this after visiting the Pelita Public Park in conjunction with the KPKT Sentuhan Kasih Tour series here on Wednesday.
