SINGAPORE, Aug. 14 -- The Sengkang-Punggol Light Rail Transit (SPLRT) is fully operational again, five hours after a power fault this morning pulled the brakes on its trains.

"Service on the Sengkang LRT has fully resumed since 12.54pm. Free regular bus and bridging bus services have ceased," operator SBS Transit said in a 1pm statement on its official Facebook page today.

"We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused."

The operator had earlier announced at 8.55am that free regular and bridging bus services are available at designated bus stops near affected stations, as well as from Sengkang and Punggol bus interchanges.
