KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 20 -- Three more individuals were apprehended by Singapore police in connection with an alleged scam involving fake bulk orders, as reported by The Straits Times.
These arrests add to the earlier apprehension of two suspects, bringing the total number of individuals arrested to five.
One of the suspects, a 28-year-old man, is alleged to have given up his Singpass credentials to the syndicate in exchange for payment while the other two, a 21-year-old man and 17-year-old girl helped unknown individuals sign up for phone lines.
Some of those phone lines were used to make bulk orders to various vendors, claiming to be from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).
