SINGAPORE, Oct. 11 -- A 30-year-old female motorcyclist died after a collision with an SBS Transit bus on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) on October 9, The Straits Times reported.

According to the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force, they were alerted to the accident on the PIE towards Changi, just before the Bedok Reservoir Road exit, at about 5pm.

The woman was taken unconscious to Changi General Hospital, where she later died.

SBS Transit spokeswoman Grace Wu said CCTV footage from the off-service bus, which was in the third lane, showed the motorcyclist falling while riding between two vehicles in adjacent lanes on the right.
