MIRI, Oct. 29 -- Trade between Sarawak and Brunei reached RM3.39 billion in 2024, reflecting the close cooperation and shared prosperity between the two territories, said Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.

He said the year-on-year growth underscored robust collaboration strengthened by shared cultural heritage and historical ties.

"Economic trade between Sarawak and Brunei Darussalam has long been established and continues to develop positively from year to year.

"In 2024, trade between Sarawak and Brunei reached approximately RM3.39 billion out of Sarawak's total foreign trade of RM198.7 billion.
