KUALA LUMPUR, Jan. 29 -- Former Johor menteri besar Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad said that Umno's decision to sack and suspend several leaders on Friday will only weaken the party further.

He added that he feels as if he is being bullied by the party leadership despite all that he has achieved in Johor.

"Now, after I supported the contest in Umno (for the post of president and deputy president), I am being seen as going against the wishes of the party.

"I beg to differ," he told The Star when met after attending a wedding reception in Benut yesterday.

On Friday, Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan announced that Hasni had been replaced as Umno Johor's state chairman by Kota Tinggi MP Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
