SHAH ALAM, March 6 -- State Infrastructure and Agriculture Committee chairman Izham Hashim said the cancelled Petaling Jaya Dispersal Link (PJD Link) needed an improvement to its alignment after the project's Social Impact Assessment (SIA) was presented.

Izham, who is also the Pandan Indah assemblyman, said according to the SIA report, almost 50 per cent of those opposed to the project are residents of Petaling Jaya.

"So we have decided that there should be an improvement to this alignment. This is all we can do, and we leave it to the owner, which is the federal government, to make the next decision," he briefly said during his winding-up speech after the debate of the speech of Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj.
