KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 19 -- Police will seek to charge eight men over an altercation in Kampung Sungai Baru on September 11 that left Dang Wangi District Police Chief ACP Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman injured.

Deputy Kuala Lumpur Police Chief DCP Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad said the investigation paper, which was first referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor on September 17 and returned with further instructions, would be resubmitted at 3.30pm today with charge recommendations against all suspects.

"There have been two recent arrests involving two local Malay men, bringing the total number of arrests to eight local Malay men," he said.

"All of them were released on police bail after the remand period ended." he added.
