KUCHING, Oct. 16 -- Police have completed their investigation into the alleged bullying incident at a secondary school in Bau that recently went viral on social media.

Bau District Police Chief Superintendent Mohd Haide A. Rahman said the police had also held discussions with the school management, the families, and the students involved.

"We take this matter seriously, and we have been in contact with the District Education Office, the school, and the students involved.

"Our investigation revealed that these students are from the same village, and they were just joking around while waiting for their transport home," he said when contacted yesterday.
