KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 28 -- Police have obtained a two-day remand order for the lorry driver involved in the fatal crash at the Bukit Kajang Toll Plaza in Kajang.

Kajang police chief Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof saidthe driver reportedly jumped out of the lorry during the incident, citing alleged brake failure.

The police haverecorded five statements so far, including the lorry owner, who is also the driver's employer.

Naazron said preliminary investigations revealed the lorry was last serviced in April 2025, but checks are ongoing to confirm whether brake failure was the actual cause of the accident, and the vehicle will be sent for technical inspection.
