GEORGE TOWN, Nov. 10 -- The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) in Penang has seized goods worth RM3.06 million in 804 cases involving various offences since January 1 this year.

KPDN Penang director S.Jegan said the offences ranged from inaccurate weighing instruments to unclear price displays.

"Since January, KPDN Penang has inspected 67,564 premises and issued RM461,800 in fines for various offences," he said at a press conference after launching the Pasar Patuh programme today.

He said the ministry has been conducting enforcement operations at various premises to ensure compliance with the law.
