KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 6 -- Johor-born musician Namewee has released a new song titled Very Shuai while under detention pending a police investigation into the death of Taiwanese influencer Hsieh Yu-hsin.

The song title, which translates to "Very Handsome", is apparently an old demo recorded in 2014 that dropped on Spotify yesterday, China Press reported.

The release date coincided with the day Namewee - real name Wee Meng Chee - surrendered to police.

According to local media reports, the rapper had announced the song's release before being implicated in the murder investigation.
