KAMPAR, Oct. 12 -- A 52-year-old cement lorry driver, who later tested positive for drugs, led police on a dramatic 150km high-speed chase from Hulu Selangor to Seri Iskandar before being arrested in a bushy area near Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) yesterday.
Kampar district police chief Supt Mohamad Nazri Daud said the incident began after police received information about a lorry that had refused to stop for an inspection on the northbound North-South Expressway.
As patrol cars from Tapah, Kampar, and Perak Tengah joined the pursuit, the situation escalated at the Gopeng Toll Plaza, Sinar Harian reported.
