KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 23 -- Authorities in the city mounted a rapid multi-agency response after a storm yesterday caused widespread disruption in the city.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) said worked closely with the Fire and Rescue Department, police, the Civil Defence Force and Kuala Lumpur Command and Control Centre.

Together they cleared fallen trees, removed debris and secured affected neighbourhoods.

At Jalan Pantai Murni 7, a tree blocked the main road until it was cut and towed away by joint teams.

Branches also snapped at Jalan Bangsar towards the KTM roundabout and at the Tunku Jaafar junction, requiring further clearance work.
