KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 22 -- A man sustained injuries to his arms and legs after being attacked with a machete by an unknown assailant while waiting for his brother at the Paya Nahu flats in Sungai Petani, Kedah, yesterday.

Kuala Muda district police chief Assistant Commissioner Hanyan Ramlan said the victim, in his 30s, had gone to his brother's home at Block A5 of the flats at 3pm, according to a report published in Harian Metro.

On arrival, his sister-in-law informed him that his brother was not at home.

"The victim then went downstairs to wait for his brother, when suddenly a man in his 20s approached and slashed him.
