KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 2 -- The Israeli Foreign Ministry has announced that volunteers from the intercepted Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) will be deported to Europe.
The Star reported that in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday (October 2), the ministry said the flotilla participants were "making their way safely and peacefully to Israel, where deportation procedures to Europe will begin."
It added that the passengers were in good health.
Out of 497 participants in the GSF mission, 201 are reported to have been detained by Israeli forces.
Among them are 12 Malaysians who were volunteering on ships bound for Gaza.
