KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 29 -- Former prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob denied claims of unrecorded government expenditure during his tenure as Malaysia's top government official.

He said a total of RM530 billion was spent and had been recorded in the government accounts from 2020-2022, comprising eight government packages.

"I'd like to stress that these allegations are not true and that all government expenditures have been recorded in the government's statement of accounts.

"A large portion of the RM530 billion for the eight stimulus packages did not involve government expenditure (for example the bank moratoriums). The government's direct expenditure was RM110 billion and that allocation had been agreed on unanimously by Parli...
