KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 8 -- Police have opened an investigation paper against a social media influencer after a video of him purportedly making lewd comments at a restaurant in Bukit Bintang went viral.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said officers received a report from a Russian woman at the Dang Wangi police station yesterday.
He said the report was related to a TikTok video in which the victim was allegedly humiliated with vulgar remarks.
"The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act. Further investigations into the incident are ongoing," he said in a statement today.
