KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 2 -- Police have confirmed that a Form Three student who fell from the third floor of a school dormitory in Sabak Bernam was discharged from the hospital on September 20.

Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the student is now at his family home in Sabak Bernam and is in the process of recovery, Berita Harian reported today.

"He can walk and speak, though not fluently, and his diet is still irregular. Alhamdulillah, his health is improving," he said during a press conference at the Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters today.

Shazeli added that police have yet to record a full statement from the student.
